Hello, my name is Rob.
I'm an Environmental Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) consultant, based in Vancouver, Canada.

My three core LCA services (below) can be provided individually or combined as a custom project to better meet your needs.

Do you need an LCA study that:
  • Earns the LEED v4 Building life-cycle impact reduction credit,
  • Meets the embodied emissions calculation requirements for the City of Vancouver Green Buildings Policy for Rezoning, or
  • Earns Envision credits RA1.1 Reduce Net Embodied Energy and CR1.1 Reduce Greenhouse Gas Emissions

I use ISO and EN construction LCA standards to meet the requirements of the green building programs listed above.   

Clients that need this service should contact me eary in the design phase of their construction project.

This service is for clients that need annual and on-demand LCA research on their organization and products they are buying, using, producing, marketing, selling and/or designing. 

I use ISO 14000-series international LCA standards to provide product and organizational LCA studies that evaluate impacts to climate change, ecosystem quality and human health.

About Rob Sianchuk

I will listen to your LCA project needs and deliver an efficient best-practice solution.​

I was born in Alberta, raised in Ontario and currently live in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada.  I have a Bachelor's degree in Wood Products Processing, Minor in Commerce, and a Master of Applied Science in Forestry from the University of British Columbia (UBC).

I first learned about environmental life cycle assessment (LCA) in 2006 while writting my bachelor's thesis on sustainable manufacturing.  Since then, I have developed expertise in the use of LCA through research and education projects in the following areas:
  • Consumer and construction products
  • Building elements and whole buildings
  • Large infrastructures and regions
  • Micro and large corporate organizations
  • Small and large events
  • University and professional training programs

I hold affiliate positions as Research Associate with the Athena Sustainable Materials Institute, Authorized Instructor with the Canada Green Building Council (CaGBC), and Adjunct Professor at the University of British Columbia (UBC).
